Inside the frosted bulb is a spiral CFL that uses 75% less energy and last up to 12,000 hours for tremendous savings over the incandescent technology that Thomas Edison invented in the 1800s. Designed to work where the traditional light bulbs are used—lamps, recessed lighting fixtures and enclosed lighting fixtures. Providing excellent color rendering, they are often favored for task lighting.
